Well, we did it! We climbed a mountain, roasted a pig, survived the rain, and bonded with campfire stories and time huddled under our tarps fueled by lots of macaroni and spaghetti. We had class outside this week and were inspired by our surroundings despite the weather--misty mountains and fresh air. Most of all, we learned to work together and sacrifice for each other (it's not easy to share your last dry shirt) and some unexpected leaders emerged who had opportunities to show talents that aren't so easily seen seated behind a classroom desk. We are grateful for a safe and memorable trip! |
