A New Year!
It's hard to believe that we have been in school for a month already! Our eighth grade class is very energetic and loving. One of my favorite things about our class (--it's Kim, the teacher, writing) is that they love to pray for each other. Each morning in devotions, we've been studying Deuteronomy, (or as Enmanuel says, Dootereneonomy). We've been talking about the importance of looking back to see all the ways that God has taken care of us, and taking the time to thank Him for His many blessings. This year, God has already healed us of many illnesses, helped us focus and learn, and blessed us with a fun and happy atmosphere full of singing and laughter. Each class the students greet me with a hug (except for some of the boys who prefer a creative handshake) and I feel grateful for their warmth, care and unending enthusiasm! It feels like a family here. I hope they will be writing their own posts soon so you can hear from them yourselves.
